How to sell more without feeling salesy or burned out?

Are you feeling guilty or discouraged to sell more and increase your profits because you think you will take advantage of your clients?
Or maybe you don’t want to grow your profits because you think that will mean working longer hours and feeling burned out?
I totally understand that feeling. I’m often trapped in that thinking too but let me share my thought process to approach those feelings in a more positive way.
First of all, I think we need to stop focusing so much on money.
When we focus on making money and reaching a financial goal, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves and we send a negative vibe to our client. Our clients can feel that we just want to make that sale and move on to the next client.
Instead of directing all your energy to a financial target, ask yourself:
How can I be of service to others using my talents and passion?
How can I add more value to my ideal customers (existing and new)?
How can I create a transformation and unparalleled experience to my clients?
I invite you to write these questions on a piece of paper and answer them. Take your time to reflect on this.
I believe that most of us created a business because we had a desire to fulfill an unmet need in society and transform people’s lives in some way.
So we just need to focus on our business mission again.
You may need to modify your business strategies and resources to ensure you’re delivering value to your clients, but it doesn’t necessarily mean you have to work longer hours. For example, if you’re a nutrition coach, you may find that switching your 1-1 clients to a group program will enhance your clients’ experience because they will get the community support they’re looking for.
Also, you may not even need to add more clients. Think on how you can add value to your existing clients. For example, if you’re a gym owner, you may want to consider offering nutrition coaching classes to your existing gym members and upgrading them to a premium package. By offering nutrition support, you’re supporting your clients’ health holistically in a way that most other gyms are not doing.
Remember, when we serve from our hearts, it feels less like a job, and more like a passion.
I invite you to have deep conversations with your existing or prospective clients to find out how you can serve them.
Selling is all about having empathy, connecting with your clients, and building a relationship with them.
Are you excited to sell more?
